Dedicated to serving the local community and sharing the good news about Jesus.
Outreach is about extending the love and message of Jesus to those outside our church community. It's an expression of the Great Commission, where Jesus instructed His followers to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).
Currently Olivet primarily partners with these ministries:
Local:
• Young Adult Alpha — Providing a weekly meal, a film on the basics of Christianity, and a chat downtown with college students and young adults.
• Kicking Bear — a locally-based, but nationwide ministry sharing the gospel with children through outdoor activities.
National:
• Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child — Olivet is the regional coordinator for this ministry sharing the gospel and Christmas gifts to children who haven’t received either.
Global:
• Blessman International - a missions organization bringing the Gospel and locally sustainable programs to the country of South Africa.
• Pastor Henry Jahonga — A pastor in Kenya, spreading the Word to students at the schools he has built and works to maintain.
Olivet also gives away 10% of its undesignated offerings to a variety of other ministries locally, nationwide, and across the globe.
