Olivet Prayer

“I will…give them joy in my house of prayer” (Isaiah 56:7). Prayer is the foundation of everything we do and believe at Olivet. Prayer is a beautiful way to communicate with God, our Heavenly Father. It's not about following a specific formula or using certain words; rather, it's about speaking from your heart, just like you would with a close friend or a loving parent. Through Jesus, we have been brought into perfect union with God, so we can approach Him with confidence, knowing that He is always listening (Hebrews 4:16). Prayer is an opportunity to express gratitude for the blessings in your life and to acknowledge God's goodness. You can bring your needs, desires, joys, and struggles before Him, trusting that He cares deeply for you (Philippians 4:6-7). It's important to remember that prayer is not about trying to manipulate or control God, but about trusting in His love and wisdom. You can pray at any time and in any place. There is no need for fancy words or long speeches. Just be honest and speak from your heart. At Olivet, one of our goals is becoming a joyful house of prayer. Accordingly, we have five different prayer groups that meet weekly, prayer activities throughout the year, and prayer ministers available to pray with you after every worship service by the prayer banner.
